PROJECT: 7 Argo Street, South Yarra

PROJECT: 7 Argo Street

LOCATION: South Yarra

DEVELOPER and BUILDER/DESIGNER:  Archie Contes – NeoVison

“An exquisite boutique block of 7 apartments in the heart of South Yarra”

With stunning finishes, and architectural flair, this project is another stellar performance from Melbourne Developer, Archie Contes of Neovision.

In collaboration with Archie, Kate Walker of Kate Walker Design helped specify, source and supply the majority of the hard finishes, including tiles, stone, pavers, slab work and timber flooring.  In addition to these finishes, double glazed commercial grey tinted windows and keyless entry ensured this project was completed a master-piece.

Main Flooring:  American Oak Engineered Flooring, stained in black.  The engineered floor is a fantastic option for developments, as it is pre-finished, and reduces downtime on site, negating the need for sanding and polishing.  The American Oak species is considered high-end, and the black stain gives a “lived-in” feel straight away.  This material is perfect for domestic, commercial and retail applications.

Kitchen: Reconstituted Stone, in pale grey was used on the countertops.  Caesarstone, Smart Stone, Stone Italiana and Quantum Quartz all have similar products.  The easy care properties of this material was an important consideration during the selection process.  The cupboards are finished in high gloss two-pac, with a combination of American Oak black stained veneer, and completed with Miele appliances.

Bathroom and Ensuites:  Floor to ceiling honed bluestone in 600×300 format, laid stackbond .  This stone gives an element of luxury.  The use of the same material floor and wall creates a feeling of space, as it diffuses the boundary between floor and wall.  The honed bluestone is luxurious underfoot.  It is silky smooth, and the dark charcoal stone creates a strong, elegant finish.  Honed Carrara Marble was used for the vanity countertops.  This material works beautifully with the bluestone, highlighting the grey veining in the stone.

Specified, sourced and supplied by Kate Walker of Kate Walker Design.
