Geoffrey Brown

In my career, I have been blessed to work with many talented architects and designers, however it is rare that any designer encapsulates my personal style in all that he designs.  Meet Geoffrey Brown of Geoffrey Brown and Associates.  With a keen respect for historical precedent, excitement in the architectural invention of our age as well as a dollop of joie de vivre Geoffrey Brown’s clients are the great beneficiaries of his talent.

Geoffrey Brown & Associates provides a complete design service for new construction, renovation, restoration, adaptions, garden schemes, interior design and decoration from conception to occupancy, including:

  • Concept design.
  • Town planning process
  • Design development and working drawings
  • Construction administration.
  • Interior design
  • Design of furniture and fixtures.
  • Decoration
  • Consultation on the purchase of art and antiques.
  • Landscape design

Please enjoy a snippet of one of my favourite Geoffrey Brown projects.

BEACH HOUSE, MID-COAST NSW

This project was designed, from the ground up by Geoffrey Brown, including interior design and decoration.  The completed home is reminiscent of properties in the Hamptons, with its classical, casual, coastal feel.  As you can see from the photos following, the stunning style is evident in every room of this magnificent home.  Products specified include honed Carrara Marble benchtops in the shaker-styled kitchen, Carrara Marble Stone Tiles in the bathrooms, classic gloss white subway tiles for both kitchen and bathrooms, hardwood timber flooring, and off-white and blue soft-furnishings, for an elegant, non-fussy interior.

KWD has grown from a team of two in 2013 to a dynamic group of ten professionals who all contribute to the successful consultancy we have created. Growing up in a family with a mother as an Interior Designer and a father as a successful Ceramic Tile Merchant, it's no wonder I entered the world of design. At Kate Walker Design (KWD), our primary focus is to specify, source and supply stone, tiles and all other hard finishes into projects across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula, but also interstate and internationally. We embrace a consultative approach and develop lasting relationships with each and every client. It’s what the KWD team knows and loves. “Design is not a thing we do. It’s our way of life.” Kate Walker

    1. Hi John and Jenny, your new home at Portsea looks just lovely. I met you a few years ago at National Tiles, Prahran. I have since opened my own business, Kate Walker Design. I am a huge fan of Geoff Brown’s work. I would love to showcase your home on my website if you were willing? I like to promote Geoff where possible. I trust you are enjoying many wonderful times down at Portsea! Take care, Kate Walker
